Activities and Endeavors Education

ERTA will provide expertise to the member companies through dissemination of pertinent Technological information as well as seminars and special activities as required, in all matters concerning loans, special project requirements, and financing in general.

Engineering

ERTA develops engineering courses and arranges for them to be presented to company representatives. Also, if requested, ERTA coordinates the Association's education activities with other educational programs and institutions.

Public Relations/Human Resources

The Committee keeps informed on personnel management issues and policies of interest to the Telecommunications Industry. Subject areas covered are training, employee development, equal employment opportunity and affirmative action programs, occupational safety and health programs, wage and salary administration, risk management, labor relations, benefits, and staffing. Results are disseminated in bulletins, seminars, and publications.

ERTA takes responsibility for examining, defining, and addressing the problems of small companies in obtaining financial assistance and provides a forum and "Clearing House" for various programs, governmental, commercial or private. ERTA was established with a principal goal of providing a two-fold forum;

(1) for Lending Organizations to "contact" and present issues to the Member Companies.;

(2) To inform and educate Member Companies in New and Innovative Technology.

ERTA Works with the National Trade Organizations when appropriate and coordinates all activities with them.

A MESSAGE FROM THE ERTA BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

Since the tragic events of 9-11-01, all of us have been forced to "reflect" on our lives, our families, our communities, our companies, and perhaps to re-evaluate priorities. ERTA encourages all companies in the Eastern US (whether Members of ERTA or not), to carefully consider security of facilities, and in particular, review and update contingency plans for operations and restoration should an unforeseen "event" take place. ERTA will be hosting a forum for rural companies on such actions in the near future. GOD BLESS AMERICA! United We Stand!
